Training Workshop : publishing in Scopus journals

Jointly organized by the Institute of Urban Techniques Management and the Center for Excellence in Writing of the University of Constantine 3 Salah Boubnider, this hybrid workshop, scheduled for April 30, 2026, is intended for doctoral students of the Institute and is part of an effort to strengthen skills in scientific publishing.

This workshop offers focused training on best practices in scholarly publishing. It will briefly cover criteria for evaluating the credibility of academic journals and ways to avoid predatory journals, techniques for identifying journals indexed in Scopus in the field of urban studies, as well as the distinction between open-access publishing models and fee-based journals. Particular attention will also be given to academic translation strategies and to adapting manuscripts to meet the requirements of target journals.
