Florida International University Highlights Our Center for Excellence in Writing

We are delighted to share that the Florida International University (FIU) website has featured an article highlighting the Center for Excellence in Writing at the University of Constantine 3 Salah Boubnider (UC3). This acknowledgment is a testament to the impactful collaboration and international partnerships fostered by our center.

The article details the establishment of our Center for Excellence in Writing, a joint initiative led by Dr. Lakhdar Boukerrou, Director of International Programs and Global Initiatives at FIU’s College of Engineering and Computing, and Dr. Glenn Hutchinson, Director of the Center for Excellence in Writing (CEW) at FIU. Their collaboration with UC3’s Rector, Prof. Ahmed Bouras, and Vice Rector, Prof. Karima Benmohamed, has been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition.

Our center’s mission is to “assist faculty and students in all stages of the writing process through face-to-face and online consultations, workshops, and trainings.” As the first of its kind in North Africa, our center is supported by a dynamic team of faculty and students under the leadership of Dean Malika Frimeche and Mr. Mouhieddine Kherouatou. Officially launched by the Algerian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research on December 8, 2022, our team at UC3 continues to work closely with the FIU CEW team.

We are proud of this international recognition and the strong partnership with FIU. This collaboration is not only enhancing the quality of academic writing and research at UC3 but also setting a precedent for future initiatives in the region.
